Los organizadores de los premios Billboard dieron a conocer a los nominados de su próxima edición que se realizará el 21 de mayo en el T-Mobile Arena de Las Vegas.
Con 22 nominaciones por cabeza, una cifra que supone un nuevo récord en estos galardones, los artistas Drake y The Chainsmokers lideraron las candidaturas a los premios Billboard.
En la categoría reina, que premia al mejor artista, figuraron como candidatos Adele, Beyoncé, Justin Bieber, The Chainsmokers, Drake, Ariana Grande, Shawn Mendes, Rihanna, Twenty One Pilots y The Weeknd.
Por su parte, Justin Bieber, Drake, Future, Shawn Mendes y The Weeknd competirán por el premio al mejor artista masculino, mientras que Adele, Beyoncé, Ariana Grande, Rihanna y Sia harán lo propio en el apartado femenino.
Asimismo, Alessia Cara, Desiigner, Lil Uzi Vert, Lukas Graham y Zayn lucharán por el galardón al mejor nuevo artista.
J Balvin, Juan Gabriel, Maluma, Nicky Jam y Los Plebes del Rancho de Ariel Camacho figuran como nominados en el apartado de mejor artista latino de los premios Billboard.
Además, Juan Gabriel logró doble nominación en las candidaturas a mejor álbum latino al obtener dos menciones por sus discos «Los Dúo 2» y «Vestido De Etiqueta: Por Eduardo Magallanes».
Le acompañan en esta categoría los artistas J Balvin (Energía), CNCO (Primera Cita) y Los Plebes del Rancho de Ariel Camacho (Recuerden Mi Estilo).
